Amina Khayyam will be teaching a week long summer intensive course at The Place this August. This course will provide an introduction to the fundamentals of Kathak dance including elements of storytelling and music. Focusing on both the technical and the expressional narrative aspect of Kathak, sessions will provide an introduction to simple rhythm cycles, basic footwork patterns and an introduction into the history and background of the dance form.
